Born on a Horseback

I was born on a horseback in december ’49
and now I hit the age of 32 and I think it’s time
to find out if there are more things than horses ‘hind the horizon line

I grew up with horses
slept in the saddle, covered by the moon
I rode to school every morning and I rode back in the afternoon
I rode to school every morning and I rode back in the afternoon

Well, horses are my only companions
a horse is my one and only friend
but sometimes it gets so lonesome
on that horseback bent
so I think I should find myself a little woman
but she’s got to love horses, too
so we could ride together
and talk about horses and me and you

So if you know a girl, born on a horseback
tell her, I won’t do her no harm
just send her down to the Hollywood ranch in the south of Duisburg-Rahm
