It doesn’t happen often and I know it’s not the same
as if I were the tv hero, oh man
in a never-too-big-problem-game
but Humphrey he ain’t me and Buster will not smile
and who’ll close that open door for a sunshine memory while
I know that it takes more than miles to leave some things behind
and running away is no good way to say: I’ll try to make it
running away is no good way to stay

Sitting on a stranger’s bed in a suicidal big town
a seven hours ride from home
without a guitar I’d be so alone
and I am looking at this lovely lady so lost without me
and I am thinking ′bout the one who may be the one to make me feel:
Without her I’m so lost
tied to a turning wheel

So take my heart
I don’t need it anymore
it may be hard to understand me
although I guess you know
that it’s hardly hard to hurt a heart
it’s hardly hard to hurt a heart

Take my heart
I don’t need it
before someone’s going to hurt it, keep it
take my heart
I don’t need it
but please don’t hurt it, keep it
please don’t hurt it, keep it
′cause maybe
in some time
I might need it
again
