I don’t know how long it will take to find a way
I don’t know how long I will love you
I don’t know how long I will try to be the one to share your day
I don’t know how long you want me, if you ever want me to stay

1) I’m your friend, darling, count on me
I know how it feels to be alone
I don’t know if your dreams will ever become reality
I don’t know if you or me will ever find a home

I don’t know how long it will take to find a way
I don’t know how long I will love you
I don’t know how long I will try to be the one to share your day
I don’t know how long you want me, if you ever want me to stay

2) And if I had all the answers written on a sheet of paper
I’d crumple it up and throw it away
and then I would run back to grab it before someone might read it
and I’d take a lighter and burn the paper
and give the answers to the wind
so: will you be my morning?
will you be my wife?
will you be my tomorrow?
will you be my life?
